Dog Obedience 1 for Puppies

Positive reinforcement methods build a bond between puppy and owner. The puppy will be taught control exercises. Topics include coming when called, stay, heel, walking under control on a leash and retrieving. Human and canine socialization issues are the focus throughout this course. Housebreaking and other behavioral issues will also be discussed. Puppies must be between two and five months of age and must be current on their vaccinations. The first class is without the puppy!

Dog Obedience 1

Learn to train your dog using predominately positive reinforcement methods. Owners will establish a base control with exercises such as coming when called, heeling, and staying in place. Topics include housebreaking, barking, digging, chewing, and other destructive behaviors. Teach your dog how to become a good family member and neighbor. No dog is too old. All dogs must be current on their shots.

Dog Obedience 2

Solidify basic control exercises taught in the Dog Obedience 1 classes. New topics include: off-leash heeling, coming in an open setting, staying with owner out of sight, and hand signals. Group exercises in control and socialization will also be addressed.
